Three Days of Rain has always managed to attract big names to star in the play. The opening of the play in 1997 attracted a number of stars to the line up. Patricia Clarkson was amongst the cast, her work includes The Green Mile and Six Feet Under. Starring alongside her was John Slattery whose work includes Mona Lisa Smile and Charlie Wilson’s War. The production included Paul Rudd of Anchorman and Knocked-up fame in the 2006 production on Broadway. Furthermore the play also attracted the attention of Julia Roberts who has also taken a lead in the play.
Currently starring in the West End production of Three Days of Rain is James McAvoy and Nigel Harman. James McAvoy has become increasingly well known thanks to his work in Wanted, The Chronicles of Narnia, Atonement Becoming Jane and the televisions series Shameless to name a few.
Nigel Harman is better known for his stage work than film and his work includes Much Ado About Nothing, Summer Holiday and Mamma Mia. The two actors star in the West End production of the play at the Apollo theatre. The play opened in February 2009 and is expected to run until May 2009.
